~ W - TWO OTHER WORLD ~
Cardiothoracic surgeon Oh Yeon-joo (Han Hyo-joo)'s father mysteriously went missing while writing the last chapter of his webtoon "W". Yeon-joo goes to his office and is shocked to see a scene of a bloodied Kang Chul (Lee Jong-suk), the main character of W, on her father's monitor. While reading something left behind by her father, a hand from the monitor pulled her in. She found herself on the rooftop of a building, next to man lying down in blood. She manages to save him but is shocked to realise that the person she saved was Kang Chul. Before she knew it, she was back in her father's office.
Her father's colleagues pointed out that Yeon-joo's father must have gone somewhere quiet to complete the comic, as a new episode was sent to the editor. Yeon-joo was horrified to see herself in the comic, as well to see scenes of her exact words and actions appear in the comic.
In the world of W, Kang Chul wants to find his saviour. But the police and his personal assistant found it suspicious that she disappeared from the rooftop when she had agreed to give the police a statement. Yeon-joo had also given them a name card, but the hospital she worked at did not exist, so the police is now searching for her.
Yeon-joo's father continues to try to end Kang Chul's life in the real world, but it seems impossible, as if the comic does not allow him to do so. Yeon-joo arrives back in the comic, saving Kang Chul again. This time, she knows that she needs to get Kang Chul surprised to disappear and go back to the real world, but everything she tries doesn't seem to surprise him. After a series of events, Yeon-Joo is hidint in Kang Chul's penthouse, and learns that she needs to surprise him to go back to where she lives. Things get complicated as Yeon-joo was made a prime suspect in Kang Chul's attempted murder, and the police finally capture her when she goes back to the comic. In order to escape from prison, Kang Chul forces her to tell the truth about where she is from so that she can disappear.
Kang Chul learns that he is a comic's main character, and Yeon-joo goes back to her world, but in doing so, he caused time to stop in his world, and he ends up taking a portal to the real world, where Yeon-joo is.
